History

PJ Morris & Co was established by Philip Morris in August 1962. Philip began the company as both a country buying and exporting business which, over the years, became one of the largest exporters in Australia. Major countries PJ Morris & Co were exporting to included much of Western Europe, Portugal, Spain, Russia, India, Pakistan, Oriental Asia (Tawain, Thailand, Korea, Japan), North America and South Africa. 25 years later Philip Morris sold the business to a London based multinational.

PJ Morris Wools Pty Ltd started in 1989 predominantly as an Australian Mohair exporter before expanding back into the wool export market. Peter Morris joined the business in the early 90s and reestablished PJ Morris Wools Pty Ltd as WA’s premier independent wool exporter.

Throughout the past 25 years PJ Morris Wools Pty Ltd has grown to become a major exporter of wool, sourcing from all regions of Australia.
